Project Engineer | FIFO - Solomon Islands We're hiring FIFO professionals for an international infrastructure contractor delivering civil and environmental projects across emerging and developed markets, known for operating in complex, remote and logistically challenging environments. They partner closely with communities and stakeholders to deliver practical, high-impact outcomes.
Current scope of work is the upgrade of ageing water mains replacing failing pipework with modern pipelines to cut water losses and future-proof bulk water supply for a growing population. While the role is project-based offshore, it offers a structured FIFO arrangement to the Solomon Islands from NZ.

Non-Negotiables- NZ Citizens only
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or similar
- 4 to 10 years’ experience as a Project Engineer or Site Engineer
- Water infrastructure background and site delivery experience are essential
- Practical mindset with the ability to think on your feet and solve problems in real time
- Self-starter who can take ownership and drive outcomes on site
- Willingness to work in remote environments on a FIFO rotation
Desirables- Previous experience working on remote or international projects
- Background in trades or hands-on site experience (Kiwi ingenuity please!)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work respectfully within local communities
- A team-first attitude, happy to step outside your core scope to support delivery
