The Role:
This is an opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to take on a key role within a high-performing team, contributing across investigation, design, and project delivery.
You’ll be involved in a diverse range of projects spanning infrastructure, transport, and large-scale land development, with the scope to step into greater technical leadership and client-facing responsibilities.
The role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to further develop both your technical and project management capability.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and manage geotechnical site investigations and data collection
- Undertake geotechnical analysis and design across foundations, retaining structures, and slope stability
- Develop ground models, specifications, and technical documentation
- Prepare interpretative and design reports
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationshipsjunior engineers
- Contribute to project delivery, programme management, and commercial outcomes
- Mentor and support
What We Are Looking For- BE (Hons) in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- ~5+ years’ experience within a geotechnical consulting environment
- Strong technical capability across investigation, analysis, and design
- Experience delivering projects and engaging with clients
- Clear and confident communication skills
- Full NZ driver’s licence
Highly regarded:- Postgraduate qualification in geotechnical engineering
- Experience mentoring or leading junior staff
- Exposure to large-scale infrastructure or land development projects
- Strong commercial awareness
