Civil Site Manager | FIFO - Solomon Islands

We're hiring for a specialist international civil contractor delivering complex infrastructure projects across remote and logistically challenging environments throughout the Asia-Pacific region. 

Seeking an experienced Civil Site Manager / Superintendent to lead civil works on the upgrade of ageing water mains, replacing failing pipework to cut water losses and future-proof bulk water supply for a growing population in the Solomon Islands. This is a FIFO opportunity from NZ, suited to someone who thrives in hands-on environments and enjoys leading from the front.

Non-Negotiables
  • 15+ years’ experience in civil construction, preferably pipelaying 
  • Strong background in bulk earthworks, drainage, and pipeline 
  • Strong on programme and delivery
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or similar
  • Confident communicator with the ability to provide clear direction on-site
  • Practical, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to think on your feet
  • Willingness to work FIFO in remote environments

Desirables
  • Previous experience working on remote or international projects
  • Exposure to large-scale pipeline or infrastructure projects
  • Trade background or strong hands-on site experience (Kiwi ingenuity desired!)
  • Ability to work effectively within different cultural environments and support local workforce development
  • A team-first approach, willing to step outside your lane to support delivery when needed
