Structural Engineer | Auckland (Heritage)

What you’ll be doing:
  • Delivering seismic assessments and retrofit design for existing buildings, including heritage structures
  • Supporting and leading construction monitoring, with travel to project sites across NZ
  • Working closely with contractors, architects, and clients to ensure design intent is achieved
  • Producing high-quality technical reports and design documentation
  • Contributing to project leadership, client relationships, and overall delivery
What we’re looking for:
  • Proven NZ experience in structural engineering (essential)
  • Strong background in seismic assessments and retrofit of existing structures
  • Experience with construction monitoring and site-based delivery
  • Exposure to heritage projects is highly regarded
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Full NZ working rights required
Two pathways depending on where you’re at:

1. Intermediate Structural Engineer (5+ years)
  • Ambitious and looking to accelerate your career
  • Keen to move beyond just technical delivery into leadership and client exposure
  • Open to mentorship and hands-on development from senior leadership
2. Senior / Lead Structural Engineer
  • Strong technical foundation with the ability to lead projects and people
  • Commercially aware and comfortable engaging with clients
  • Interested in contributing to business growth and direction
  • Potential for shareholding after a 12+ month bedding-in period
