We're partnering with a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy to recruit a Transportation Engineer who is looking to continue building their career within a collaborative, technically strong team.

This opportunity aligns for an engineer with experience in transport planning, traffic engineering or land development to work across a diverse portfolio of public and private sector projects while being supported by experienced senior engineers committed to your professional development.

About the role:

You'll undertake technical assessments, prepare reports and modelling, liaise with clients and local authorities, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, high quality engineering solutions.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Preparing transportation impact assessments and technical reports.
  
  
• Undertaking traffic calculations, modelling and swept path analysis.
  
  
• Completing site inspections and reviewing transport layouts.
  
  
• Assisting with transport planning and master planning projects.
  
  
• Coordinating with civil, planning and surveying teams.
  
  
• Liaising with clients, councils and key project stakeholders.
  
  
• Delivering projects on time, within budget and to a high technical standard.
  
  

About you:

You'll ideally have:

• Civil Engineering degree (or relevant Transportation Planning qualification).
  
  
• Experience within a transportation or traffic engineering consultancy environment.
  
  
• Understanding of NZ transport standards, codes and local authority requirements.
  
  
• Experience preparing technical reports and transportation assessments.
  
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  
  
• Current New Zealand Driver License.
  
  
• Membership (or working towards membership) of Engineering New Zealand

• Experience with transport modelling, traffic assessments and land development projects will be highly regarded.
