We’re looking for experienced UX UI Designer to join a large-scale digital transformation programme on an initial 6-month contract with the likelihood to extend. These roles sit within a growing digital design team working across customer-facing products, native mobile apps, and operational platforms used at scale across New Zealand and internationally.
This is a hands-on, end-to-end design role suited to strong generalist designers who enjoy owning the full design process, from research and discovery through to UX/UI design, wireframing, prototyping, and developer handoff.
You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and delivery teams in an environment that is actively evolving how design and development collaborate, including increased adoption of AI tooling across the design workflow.
What you’ll be doing- Deliver end-to-end digital product design across web and native platforms
- Lead UX and UI design activities from research and ideation through to delivery
- Create wireframes, prototypes, interaction flows, and high-fidelity designs
- Work closely with engineers during solution design and implementation
- Contribute to customer experience strategy and product thinking
- Design across a variety of digital products including apps, websites, and operational tools
- Operate autonomously within cross-functional squads
- Collaborate within a modern design environment embracing AI-assisted workflows and tooling
What we’re looking for- Proven experience as a UX Designer, Product Designer, or Digital Designer
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both UX thinking and visual design craft
- Experience designing end-to-end digital products across web and/or native mobile
- Ability to balance research, strategy, interaction design, and UI execution
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Comfortable working closely with engineering teams
- Experience with Figma and modern design systems
Nice to have- Native iOS or Android design experience
- Experience designing enterprise or large-scale digital products
- CMS-driven website experience
- Interest in AI tooling and evolving product delivery workflows
