Brief

Our client is a boutique property firm operating across New Zealand, managing a diverse mix of commercial, industrial, and retail assets. With a focus on long-term value creation and best-practice financial management, the business takes a highly engaged, ownership-mindset approach to every asset in the portfolio. They are now seeking an Accounts Executive to support accurate financial administration, portfolio reporting, and day-to-day operational performance.

Non-Negotiables
  • Strong proficiency in Xero — confident with coding, invoice processing, reconciliations, and month-end tasks.
  • Solid understanding of core accounting principles: AP/AR, GST, accruals, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, analysis and reporting.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ accounting or bookkeeping experience, with experience specifically within the property industry.
  • High attention to detail, strong organisation, and the ability to take ownership of tasks.
  • Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a small team.
Desirables
  • Experience working with property-management software (Re-Leased or similar).
  • The ability to speak in Mandarin.
  • Comfort with financial modelling, cash flows, feasibility analysis, and OPEX budgeting.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach and confidence working across both finance and operational functions.
