Australasian Sales Leader

Job description

My client is a leading private education provider committed to delivering top-notch educational solutions to propel students forward in their careers. As they are continuing to grow, they’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Leader to join the team. This is a fully remote, work from home role.

This business, with approximately 100 staff operates entirely online so part of the appeal and challenge of this role is working and managing (driving both outcomes and culture) remotely.

As the Australasian Sales Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth through effective leadership and strategic sales initiatives. You will lead a team of six people leaders who manage teams of functional sales specialists who are ultimately responsible for student recruitment and retention. There are some operational efficiencies that can be gained quickly looking at team structures and functions, then the focus will shift to  fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment to achieve sales targets and exceed customer expectations.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Lead a team of six direct reports, with 38 indirect reports – largely phone based sales people.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive sustainable revenue growth and operational efficiency.
  • Look for opportunities for continuous improvement – including processes, rewards and recognition structures, and sales effectiveness.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, analyse data, and provide actionable insights to optimise sales strategies, conversion rates and processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure alignment and drive continuous improvement.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to identify opportunities for business growth and partnership development.
  • Coach, mentor and develop your immediate and wider team to ensure growth within the business and their longer term career aspirations.

The big things we need from you:
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, preferably in phone based sales with remote reporting lines.
  • Good tenure in roles is a must – show that you can deliver meaningful change and see the outcomes of your strategies to successful completion.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate remote teams to achieve results.
  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Experience working in a fully remote or distributed team environment (beyond covid related lockdowns) is preferred.

What’s on offer?
  • Fully remote work from home, high trust, outcomes focused position with flexibility and work-life balance.
  • Competitive salary and bonus structure.
  • Collaborative and supportive team culture.

Candidates must be based in New Zealand, with full working rights.
