Job description

We’re looking for a Bid Writer to join this fast growing, well established Civil Engineering contractor based in Auckland’s CBD.  The role is newly established, and with a re-brand for the business in its early stages – it’s a perfect time to learn from the ground up but also contribute to the tone of the organisation.

Letting your amazing personality shine is key here – this is a vibrant and collaborative business.  Get stuck in, build those relationships, take pleasure in learning all about their projects and their differing backgrounds and expertise. You know that good relationships are fundamental to teasing out the technical information for a successful tender – without having to harass anyone for the detail! Don’t worry – they’re a helpful bunch and the love giving their input.

The role is primarily a Bid Writing role – with around 20 tenders a year to manage, but their external comms function might also take your interest, and given your demonstrated ability to tell a story around technical information and capabilities – you’ll be able to add significant value here.

A bit more about you…
  • Clearly – you’ve been submitting bids and tenders in the construction sector for the last few years and you’re ready to run this function independently.
  • You’re an organised self starter with strong time management – some of these tenders are pretty grunty so your coordination skills will be utilised.
  • You’ve got strong attention to detail – but you’re not inflexibly shackled to perfection. You understand that balance.
