My client is seeking a skilled and driven Commercial Insurance Broker to take charge of a diverse book of business and drive its growth across commercial clients. Key Responsibilities:
  • Build on a book of predominantly commercial clients. Manage the portfolio with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accurate records and timely renewals.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to expand the book of business. Proactively identify opportunities to acquire new commercial clients and ensure existing clients’ risks are managed and insurance needs are met.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with clients by understanding their unique insurance needs and providing tailored solutions. Provide exceptional customer service and act as a trusted advisor throughout the insurance process.
  • Provide comprehensive claims advocacy, advice, and support throughout the process.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments for clients to accurately determine their insurance requirements. Analyse policies, negotiate terms with insurance underwriters, and ensure comprehensive coverage for clients' businesses.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and changes in insurance regulations. Utilize this knowledge to offer expert advice to clients, anticipate their needs, and provide innovative insurance solutions.

Our ideal candidate profile:
  • Proven experience as a Commercial Insurance Broker, with a NZ Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5).
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, policies, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
  • Demonstrated business development and client acquisition abilities.
  • Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
