Licensed Cadastral Surveyor / Survey Technician - Christchurch / Canterbury

About the Role

You’ll work across a diverse mix of land development, infrastructure, and urban projects, from master-planned residential communities to major commercial developments and infrastructure upgrades.
We’re in exciting times for geospatial and surveying - the technology is moving fast, and these teams are embracing it. From digital data capture and reality modelling to AI-assisted workflows, you’ll be part of the new era that’s reshaping how projects are delivered in the field.
• Use modern tools like 12d, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Leica, Trimble
• Work alongside engineers, planners, and digital specialists
• Mentorship and leadership opportunities for the right person
• Support for those progressing toward LCS registration

About You

• 5–10+ years’ experience in cadastral and/or engineering surveying (NZ, AUS, UK)
• BSurv or equivalent tertiary qualification
• Licensed Cadastral Surveyor, or a Survey Technician of all levels
• Member or eligible member of Survey & Spatial NZ (S+SNZ) a plus
• Proficient in 12d, CAD/Civil 3D, ideally with modern data workflows
• Strong communicator with experience managing client relationships
• Accurate, reliable, and confident working independently
• NZ citizen or resident with a full NZ driver’s licence
 
What’s in it for You
LCS: $150,000 - $250,000 + vehicle
Senior Survey Technician: $110,000 - $180,000 + vehicle
Intermediate Survey Technician: $80,000 - $110,000
