Licensed Cadastral Surveyor / Branch Manager

Oamaru offers a rare opportunity for an experienced Licensed Cadastral Surveyor to step into a Branch Manager role within a long established, multi disciplinary consultancy with deep roots across Otago and the wider South Island.
This is a role for someone who values quality delivery, strong client relationships, and building a sustainable local team. You will be trusted to lead the Oamaru branch with autonomy, while being supported by a broader business that brings together surveying, engineering, and planning expertise.

About the Role:
You will take responsibility for the technical leadership and day to day management of the Oamaru office, delivering cadastral and land development projects while maintaining strong relationships with local clients, councils, and stakeholders.
The branch operates as part of a wider, well resourced consultancy, allowing you to focus on leadership, mentoring, and quality outcomes rather than chasing work or managing excessive administration.
• Lead cadastral delivery across land development and subdivision projects
• Manage and grow the Oamaru branch in line with regional demand
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to surveyors and technicians
• Maintain strong client relationships and represent the business locally
• Collaborate closely with engineers, planners, and leadership across the wider business
• Uphold technical standards, workflows, and professional best practice

About You:
• Licensed Cadastral Surveyor with strong New Zealand experience
• Proven background in land development and subdivision delivery
• Comfortable leading a small team and supporting people development
• Confident dealing directly with clients, councils, and consultants
• Practical, commercially aware, and respected for sound judgement
• NZ citizen or resident with a full NZ driver’s licence
