Project Coordinator

Job description

Our client has a thriving furnishings company, renowned for quality and customer service and they are looking for a new Project Coordinator to support their commercial team.
The role is based in Auckland with outlets across the country. With a steady stream of business they are expanding their commercial team and need a detailed and skilled Project Coordinator to join the close-knit team at head office. 

Key to this role is your knack for deciphering architects' plans and specifications. Familiarity with the curtain furnishing industry is a plus. Your stellar communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for liaising with external partners and the internal team.

The key responsibilities include: 

  • Interpreting and understanding architect plans for quotes and measurements of commercial spaces.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all customers and stake holders, through a range of communication channels.
  • Database management and sales order processing.
  • Preparing and providing accurate quotes.
  • Liaising with the installation team to ensure jobs are booked and completed within set time frames. 
Key candidate requirements:
  • Previous experience working with architecture and building plans. 
  • Prior experience in administration or customer service in an office-based environment. You will have excellent communication skills on phone, email and in person 
  • Proven proficiency in MS Office, and good problem-solving skills. 
  • Project management experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Most importantly, you will use your initiative to get the work done and can juggle a busy workload 
In this full-time position (Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm), you'll excel in customer service, managing databases, processing orders, and generating accurate quotes. Coordinating with the installation team ensures seamless project completion within deadlines.
