About the role 

Currently, they are going through one of the largest SAP implementation in NZ's history and looking to grow their SAP expertise further. As a Functional SAP Lead  S/4HANA, MM, SD Consultant specialising in the retail sector, you will play a pivotal role in driving the implementation and optimization of SAP solutions to enhance our client's operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will analyze business requirements, design tailored solutions, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems. This role requires a strong expertise within store merchandising.

Responsibilities
  • Take charge of devising, building, testing, and rolling out SAP solutions tailored to merchandise planning needs, ensuring they align with business goals and standards.
  •  Guarantee SAP solutions harmonize seamlessly with business needs and industry best practices, adhering closely to SAP standards and methodologies.
  • Offer both technical and functional assistance, resolve issues, and provide training to end users and stakeholders to ensure proficient and efficient utilization of the SAP system.
  • Supervise the SAP Merchandise team, ensuring smooth project delivery within set budget and timelines while maintaining quality and meeting expectations.
  • Foster collaboration with other SAP teams, vendors, and consultants to ensure seamless integration and compatibility of SAP solutions, promptly resolving any encountered issues or conflicts.

What do you need?
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem solving skills. You will need to be able to confidentially communicate with stakeholders at various levels and adept leadership of SAP team.
  • Ideally, min of 5-10 years of experience in successfully delivering SAP projects that includes merchandise planning and allocation within retail sector.
  • A strong understanding of SAP SD, MM, PP and AFS modules
  • Prior experience in SAP implementation projects, including full lifecycle implementations, is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to work independently or collaboratively within team settings, showcasing initiative, creativity, and flexibility consistently.
