Senior Resource Consents Planner
North Shore – Serving Rodney & Northland Regions

About the Role:
This is a hands-on position where you’ll be responsible for providing expert planning advice and managing resource consent applications from start to finish. You’ll liaise with Councils, consultants, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery, while also contributing to feasibility assessments and development potential studies for a variety of properties.

Key aspects of your work will include:
  • Preparing and managing resource consent applications
  • Undertaking site visits and preparing planning assessments and reports
  • Engaging with local authorities, government agencies, and client representatives
  • Representing clients at pre-application meetings
  • Supporting senior planners and surveyors on multi-disciplinary projects
About You:
We’re seeking a Senior Planner with a minimum 5 years of experience who thrives in a client-focused environment and enjoys balancing fieldwork, technical work, and stakeholder engagement. Ideally, you will have:
  • A tertiary qualification in Planning, Resource Management, or related discipline
  • Strong understanding of the RMA and local government processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset
  • MUST HAVE eligibility to work in NZ
