About the role:

My client looking for an experienced professional with great relationship-building skills to join our Bay of Plenty Infrastructure Delivery team as a Senior Project Manager. The successful candidate will be a proactive individual who can take the lead or support the delivery of high-profile infrastructure and transportation projects. The BOP Tauranga office is the newest location, and has support from our Waikato, Auckland and Northland offices.

About you:

• You have at least 8+ years experience as a project manager in the civil and infrastructure industry.
• You have a proven track record of delivery of projects to time, budget and specification – with experience in areas such as roading, civil infrastructure, urban development and rail being advantageous.
• You have a recognised bachelor or higher tertiary qualification in a field such as civil engineering or construction management.
• You are comfortable in a consulting environment, working alongside high-profile clients

Some responsibilities of the role will include:

• Managing delivery of infrastructure and transportation projects, from site assessment and design, through to construction and handover – with the support of the wider team.
• Proposal preparation, job delivery, work planning and financial management tasks.
• Performing site inspections and assessing health, safety, environmental and quality assurance performance of contractors

Key skills:

• Experience performing Engineer’s Representative or Engineer’s Rep Assistant roles.
• Experience in the NZ construction management environment and NZS3910 or NZS3916.
• Great communicator – both verbal and written – and effective at establishing meaningful professional relationships.
• Highly organised, with a strong attention to detail.
• Take pride in your work, and always looking to develop in your career.
• Able to operate autonomously, while also appreciating the benefits of collaboration.
