About the Role
As they gear up to onboard our first New Zealand banking client, they’re looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to lead technical engagements and bring their platform to life for local institutions. This is a fully remote role, open to talent based anywhere in New Zealand.
You’ll work at the intersection of technology and strategy, guiding clients through integration, adoption, and delivery of company’s solutions. As a key technical advisor, you’ll collaborate deeply with both client stakeholders and our internal teams to translate complex requirements into scalable, high-impact solutions.

This role spans the full client journey, from pre-sales technical discovery to hands-on implementation, which makes you central to how their product delivers value in market.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for New Zealand clients, leading solution scoping, architecture, and execution.
• Translate client requirements into actionable technical strategies in partnership with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams.
• Design and oversee custom integrations, ensuring high performance and alignment with our platform architecture.
• Lead workshops, technical discovery sessions, and implementation planning with client engineering teams.
• Collaborate with company’s internal engineering squads to ensure transparency, alignment, and successful delivery.

What You’ll Need

• 5+ years in a Solutions Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, or similar role within a SaaS or enterprise tech environment.
• Demonstrated success managing complex client integrations and delivering end to end solutions.
• Strong technical foundation with the ability to dive deep into architectural discussions.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to influence and engage across technical and non technical teams.
• Clear, confident communicator who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
• Prior experience in financial services, particularly within fintech or banking.
• A background as a software engineer or solutions architect.
• Experience working in high-growth startups or scale-ups.
• Frontend: React (Next.js), React Native (Expo), Tamagui, TypeScript
• Backend: Node.js (REST APIs), AWS (SST framework)
• Tooling & Design: Playwright, Storybook, Figma (with Variables)
• Database: SQL
