Workday Functional Consultant - Time Tracking

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Workday Functional Consultant with a strong focus on the Time Tracking module to support the next phase of  Workday implementation. This is a critical role that will be responsible for end to end configuration, solution design, and testing of Time Tracking across a complex, multi entity organisation.
You will work closely with HR, Payroll, Operations, and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable Workday configurations while ensuring compliance with labour laws and payroll integration standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead functional design and configuration of Workday Time Tracking, including time entry codes, time calculation rules, and validation logic
  • Conduct discovery workshops to gather and analyse time tracking requirements from various business units
  • Design and configure work schedules, time entry templates, and overtime/shift premium rules
  • Collaborate with the Payroll and Absence teams to ensure seamless data integration and pay input accuracy
  • Build and execute detailed test plans, including unit, system, and end to end testing
  • Document configuration decisions, business process flows, and user training materials
  • Support go live readiness including parallel testing, cutover planning, and post launch hyper care
  • Partner with technical teams on integrations with time clocks or external systems (if applicable)
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands on Workday configuration experience, with at least one full lifecycle implementation of Workday Time Tracking
  • Strong understanding of Workday business processes, calculated fields, and condition rules
  • Familiarity with Time Calculation Groups, Time Entry Codes, and pay rule configuration
  • Experience with Absence and Payroll integrations or dependencies is a strong plus
  • Proven ability to document, test, and validate time tracking configurations in a structured environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across HR, Payroll, and IT teams
