I’m currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
GPR Technician to join my client’s subsurface investigation team.
Position Overview: As a GPR Technician, you will be responsible for conducting non-destructive subsurface investigations using ground penetrating radar and complementary technologies. Your role is crucial in supporting project planning, utility mapping, and geotechnical assessments across a range of development sites.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct GPR scans in the field to locate and map subsurface utilities, structures, and anomalies.
- Interpret and analyse GPR data to produce accurate site drawings and reports.
- Assist project managers and engineers with data integration and fieldwork planning.
- Maintain and calibrate GPR and associated geophysical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols on all job sites.
- Communicate findings effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Travel to project sites as needed (local/regional).
Qualifications:- Prior experience using GPR equipment (e.g., GSSI, Mala, or similar systems) preferred.
- Strong understanding of utility locating, geophysics, or land surveying principles.
- Ability to work independently in the field and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficient with data processing software and CAD or GIS applications.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions.
