About the Role: 

This is a hands-on Intermediate Civil Engineer role within a growing Hamilton-based team, focused on land development and civil infrastructure projects. You’ll take ownership of design work across multiple stages of delivery, supported by experienced senior and Chartered Engineers.
The role offers real technical depth, exposure to end-to-end project delivery, and the chance to build confidence working directly with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
This opportunity suits an engineer who enjoys solving practical design challenges, values collaboration, and is looking to progress technically without being thrown in at the deep end.

Skills & Experience:

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (BE, NZDE, or BEngTech)
• Approximately 3+ years’ experience in civil and land development engineering
• Proven design experience using 12d and or Civil 3D and AutoCAD
• Exposure to land development projects from concept through to delivery
• Understanding of construction processes and contractor engagement
• Clear, professional communication skills and confidence working with clients and project teams

Desirables:

• Experience with stormwater design and flood modelling (e.g. HEC-RAS)
• Familiarity with NZS 3910 construction contracts
• Site experience including inspections and construction support
