Shape the future of environmental operations in Southland. A unique opportunity has opened for an experienced leader to head a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering large-scale environmental programmes across land, water, and marine environments.

Non-Negotiables
  • 10+ years’ leadership experience in technical or environmental operations
  • Strong project management skills—planning, budgeting, and reporting
  • Expertise in land, river, or catchment management practices
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams and foster high performance
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. environmental science, engineering, resource management)
  • Full NZ driver’s licence
Desirables
  • Experience working in complex stakeholder or regulatory environments
  • Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and cultural competency in te ao Māori
  • Change leadership and business improvement capability
  • Skilled communicator with confidence engaging across technical and public-facing spaces
