A newly created opportunity has opened for an experienced leader to head a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering large-scale environmental programmes across land, water, and marine environments.

This is a rare opportunity delivering the region's biosecurity, flood preparedness and river asset management. Be part of the organisation’s leadership team, reporting directly to the GM for Integrated Catchment Strategy.

Non-Negotiables
- 10+ years’ leadership experience in technical or environmental operations
- Strong project management skills—planning, budgeting, and reporting
- Expertise in biosecurity, flood preparedness and river asset management.
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and foster high performance. If you're a strong communicator / leader, we want to hear from you.
- Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. environmental science, engineering, resource management)
- Full NZ driver’s licence
Desirables
- Experience working in complex stakeholder or regulatory environments
- Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and cultural competency in te ao Māori
- Change leadership and business improvement capability
- Skilled communicator with confidence engaging across technical and public-facing spaces
