The Role:
As a Stormwater Principal Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in guiding network projects and providing technical expertise to address complex issues. Working in Petone, Wellington, you'll collaborate closely with a passionate team of water engineering professionals to achieve service goals in stormwater, wastewater, and drinking water.
What you will bring for success:- Supervise large-scale, complex projects
- Lead the creation of innovative master plans and catchment plans
- Develop environmentally sound and sustainable solutions
- Mentor and guide less experienced colleagues
- Collaborate with client councils to advise on stormwater requirements
- BE or Diploma in Engineering (preferably civil or environmental engineering)
- Background in asset management
- Strong technical knowledge in stormwater engineering, climate change resilience, and adaptation
- Ability to solve complex engineering problems
- Understanding of stormwater modelling processes
