Lead and grow the civil and land service line within a respected New Zealand engineering consultancy known for its trusted advisor approach and strong client relationships across a broad range of sectors. This role suits a senior to principal engineer ready to step into leadership, supported by the wider business with a clear pathway to equity and shareholding.

About the Role:

An opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer to take a key leadership position within a Land team that is expanding nationally.
This role blends hands on technical delivery with client engagement and mentoring. You’ll lead complex projects, strengthen relationships and play a key part in growing capability across both land development and renewable energy generation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead land development and civil infrastructure projects from concept through to completion, managing quality, programme and budget
• Deliver civil engineering inputs for renewable energy projects including wind and solar
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships as a credible technical advisor
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, lifting internal capability 
• Provide technical verification, quality assurance and MSQA support
• Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate approvals and design inputs 

Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience in land development and civil infrastructure design and delivery
• Confident client-facing capability with commercial awareness
• Solid understanding of NZ consenting frameworks, regulatory processes and industry standards
• Working toward or holding CPEng
• Experience with tendering, contract administration or construction phase support
