Senior Environmental Engineer

The business has a wealth of projects all at varying stages of design and construction offering an incoming engineer variety and exposure within the environmental field. Reporting to a highly revered Engineering Manager (CPEng), this role is to lead technical consulting work and develop technical capability for the Environmental Department for both routine and complex projects and for projects of a significant scale.
the environmental team take pride in work that is influential, award winning and exemplifies best practice. You will also have the direct and ongoing support of the wider Auckland office that includes Design Engineers, Technicians, Planners and Surveyors.
Seeking people with a combination of the following:- Environmental Engineering Degree or relevant qualification such as a Washington Accord Degree or relevant qualification (BEngTech, NZDE)
- Ideally a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and Chartered Member of Engineering NZ (CMEngNZ)
- 10+ years relevant experience
- Demonstrates sufficient knowledge to challenge current practices as well as develop new techniques
- Has an excellent level of understanding of the assessment, planning and design of three waters management and infrastructure
- Fully competent with the use of environmental engineering software and design packages
- Can marshal resources (people, funding, material, support) and orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal
- Amiable personality to fit in a great team environment
